When Winter is long and cold and snow is unending and deep, it's easy to fall into a blah sort of mood from day to day. We drudge through, shaking salt off our pant legs and burying ourselves in scarves and mittens and hats, fooling ourselves that we didn't need the sun anyway.
And then, one day, behold:
A sign.
Spring is coming. Sunshine wakes up the flowers and we see the light.
I've always said my favorite season is Fall, and while that's true, it's also true that there is something spectacular and special about Spring. Alliteration at it's finest: spectacular, special Spring.
Maybe it's just because it's the end of Winter, or maybe its just because it's the prelude to Summer.
But it's awesome...and there is not a person I know who can't say they don't crave those first warm rays of sunshine that grace us this time of year.
The sun comes out and the temperature goes up.
Everyone is just happy to be outside without 68 pounds of fabric covering their bodies.
In Michigan, 50 degrees is flip-flop appropriate! (Sometimes colder!)
I knew that pedicure would come in handy.....
